The Deane Center for the Performing Arts is a 501(c)(3) organization that promotes the arts and community through programming and the rental of its facilities.​
Primary Responsibilities:

Reports directly to the Executive Director.

Represent the Deane Center in a friendly, professional manner at all times.

Enter pledges and payments in GiftWorks.
-
Maintain the office budget and keep track of all expenses.
-
Observe strict confidentiality of all company records and financial information and safeguard against unauthorized access to such information at all times.

Perform bookkeeping duties including processing accounts payable, receivables, and bank reconciliations.
-
Post payments and pledges to QuickBooks.
-
Process all room rental invoices.
-
Process credit card payments.
-
Process payroll weekly.
-
Prepare internal reports regarding Deane Center finances including income, expense, and balance sheet on a monthly basis for the Finance Committee and Board of Directors.

Process all Federal, State, and Local Sales and Property tax payments and required forms.

Reconcile all bank statements monthly.
-
Responsible for ethical accounting practices that will be audited yearly.
General Responsibilities:
-
Staff the Front Reception Desk and all daily tasks associated, including answering the main phone line, greeting visitors, routing telephone communications, providing information to patrons about events and facility use, and monitoring the building security cameras.

Sort/distribute/organize mail, packages, and office supplies.

Schedule digital meeting and room reservations requests (Google Calendar).

Perform accurate opening and closing procedures for the building as directed.

Take orders for tickets over the phone and in person, and process credit card payments.

Provide information on venue rentals to prospective patrons.

Other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications:

Excellent computer skills and experience troubleshooting with a variety of technology and software including QuickBooks, Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook,)

Strong interpersonal skills including tact, patience, and flexibility, as well as the ability to give and receive feedback.

Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive and proprietary information.

High dependability, integrity, and conscientiousness; excellent time management skills.

A high school diploma is required.

The ability to interact with executive-level administrators, government officials, donors/prospects, creatives, and development staff with an understanding of protocol and confidentiality is required.

The ability to work evenings and weekends is a plus, but not required.

Satisfactory background clearances required, which can be conducted at the time of hire.
Hours & Compensation:
-
Approximately 10-12 hours per week. The schedule will vary to meet business needs.

Hourly rate of $15.25 per hour
